This is a dressmaking business so if the above measurements don't really match your own; I can create a custom dress using your own individual measurements! We can even collaborate on the design! And the design consultation is free! For Ball dresses I do require a minimum of 3 months notice for this service and 2 months notice for other dresses/garments as I am creating it from scratch. The sizes that I can make are Australian size XXS (size 4-6) to XL (size 14-16).

How to measure yourself
Ask someone to measure you so that the measurements are accurate. Please wear something thin and fitted (eg: a singlet and leggings) while you are being measured to make sure the measurements are as accurate as possible. Use the cm side of a good tape measure. If the measurements are not accurate, the garment will not fit properly.
Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your torso (its usually below your ribcage and above the belly button).
Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hip area (around your bottom).
Neck to Waist: Tie some thin ribbon or string around your waist as a guide. On your back, measure down from the base of your neck to the string or ribbon tied around your waist (down the centre back of your body).
Waist to Hip: Tie some thin ribbon or string around the fullest part of your hip area as a guide. Measure down from the string or ribbon tied around your waist to the ribbon or string tied around your hips (down your centre front).
Shoulder: Measure from the side base of your neck to your shoulder point.
Back Width: From under your underarm (where a side seam would be on your clothes) measure across your back to your other underarm.
Chest Width: From under your underarm (where a side seam on your clothes would be) measure across your chest to your other underarm (do this above your bust area like in the above drawing).
Waist to Hem: Measure from the string or ribbon tied around your waist to the floor (down the centre front of your body).
Bust Radius: Measure from your nipple on your breast to the base of your breast (this will be your cup size).
